Changing your Screensaver

Customising your computer makes it feel like your own and changing your screen-saver to one you have been given/downloaded can also make your computer more fun to use.

To change your Screen-Saver:

1. Right click on the backgrond of your desktop screen and a drop down menu (Like Below) will open

2. Click on Properties and a properties box will open

3. Click on the Screen Saver Tab (at the top of the window)

4. The picture of the monitor shows you a preview of the current screensaver
Next to the box which contains the name of your current screen saver there is a arrow. Click it.

5, Click on the name of the screen-saver you want to use

6. Click on Settings
Most screensavers have many (or fewer) options you can change to customise it

7. Once you have made the changes you want click OK

8. You can now check what changes you have made by clicking on Preview
If you don't like the changes you have made you can choose another screen-saver or change the settings again

9. If you want to set a password on your screensaver so others can't use your computer whilst you are away from it. Tick the Password Protected box

10. To set a password click the Change... button

11. Enter a password into both both the boxes which appear (They have to be identical) and click OK and the window will close

12. When you are done click OK
