Installing Programs

Installing software is fairly easy these days, just pop the CD in and they run themselves. Besides every program has its own, slightly different, installation program so it is difficult to give advice here.

If you are having problems feel free to Mail Me and I will attempt to help you if I can.

What I will tell you is how to install extra Windows components, should you need to.
NOTE: Have your Windows CD ready!

1. Click on the "Start" button

2. Select "Settings"

3. Click on "Control Panel" and your control panel will open

4. Double Click on "Add/Remove Programs" and the following window will open

5. Click on the "Windows Setup" tab

6. Double click on the type of component you want, in this case I have chosen system tools, and another window will open

7. Put a tick in the box next to the component you wish to install (or untick it to remove it)

8. Click "OK" to close the window

9. Click "OK" to install the components

The computer will now install the components and the computer may need to re-start before the changes can take effect
